This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes the types of information HIFOO and its Affiliates (collectively, “we,” or “us” or “our”) may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit or use any of our websites, mobile or tablet applications, or other interactive services that link or refer to this Privacy Policy (collectively our “Services”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • “Affiliates” includes subsidiaries and entities that HIFOO or its subsidiaries operate or have an ownership interest; and
  • “Healthcare Providers” include, without limitation, physicians, chiropractors, hospitals, outpatient clinics, diagnostic facilities, lab facilities, durable medical goods providers, physical therapists, and other providers of healthcare related products and services.

Application of Privacy Policy

In General.


This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect:

  • On any of our Services’ websites; and
  • Through any of our Services’ mobile or tablet applications.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected:

  • by us offline or through any other means;
  • by any Healthcare Provider;
  • by your employer, insurance company or any third-party claims processor; or
  • by any third party whose websites, mobile applications, or other content may either link to our Services or be linked to or accessible from our services.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Services. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time (see the section titled “Changes to Our Privacy Policy” below). Minors Under the Age of 18.


Our Services are not intended for use by or directed at minors under 18 years of age and we do not knowingly collect personal information about children under 18 except through the use of our Services by their adult parent or legal guardian. Types of Information We Collect.


We collect several types of information from and about users of our Services, including information:

  • HTML 5. HTML5, the language some websites and applications are coded in, may be used to store information on your computer or device about how you use our Services.
  • Cache Cookies. Cache cookies, such as eTags, may be used to identify your computer or device as the same computer or device that visited our Services in the past.

We do not collect personal information automatically. However, we may tie automatically collected information to personal information about you that we collect from other sources or you provide to us.

Information from Third-Parties.


We may receive additional information about you that is provided by your employer or the organization through which our Services our offered to you, your insurance provider, Healthcare Providers, third-party claims processors, or that is publicly or commercially available. We may then combine that information with information we have collected or received about you in other ways.

How We Use Your Information.


We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:

  • To provide our Services to you;
  • For the purposes specified when you provided it;
  • In any other way we may describe when you provide the information;

  • To contact you with information that we believe will be of interest to you;
  • To generate and review reports and data about our user base and Service usage patterns;

How We Disclose Your Information.


We may aggregate and/or de-identify information collected by our Services or via other means so that the information is not intended to identify you.   • To others as described in Privacy Policy for members after logon;
  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support and help provide our Services and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep your personal information confidential, use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them, and either comply with this Privacy Policy or have comparable privacy policies that protect your information;
  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information; or

We may also disclose your personal information:

  • If we believe in good faith that the disclosure is appropriate in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding possible illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of this Privacy Policy or our We need terms of Use and/or to protect the Services, the rights and property of our company, our employees, users and the public;
  • To enforce or apply our Members Terms of Use and any other agreements we may have with you, including for billing and collection purposes; and
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information about users of our Services is among the assets transferred.

Personal information that you provide on bulletin boards or in other areas accessible to other users could be collected and disclosed by others. We do not take any responsibility for these types of collection or disclosure.

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information.

Tracking Technologies and Promotions.

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. Various mechanisms are available to provide you with the following control over your personal information:

  • Cookie Based Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. To learn how you can manage your Flash cookie settings, visit the Flash player settings manager page on Adobe’s website. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of our Services may then be inaccessible or not function properly.
  • Promotional Offers and other Communications from the Company. If you do not wish to have your email address and other contact information provided by you used by us to promote our or any vendor services, you can opt-out from these promotions by unsubscribing. If we have sent you a promotional email, you may opt-out by either clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link in the email, or by contacting us as instructed at the end of this Privacy Policy. However, this opt-out does not apply to information provided to us as a result of a product purchase, product service experience, or other communications related to transactions that you may have with us. Also, please allow at least 30 days for unsubscribe requests to be processed.

“Do Not Track” Signals.


Some web browsers may transmit “do not track” signals to the websites and other online services with which the browser communicates. We currently do not take action in response to these signals.

Reviewing and Correcting Your Personal Information.


You can review and change your personal information by logging into the Service and visiting your account profile page. However, we cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. In addition, we may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

User Contributions.


If you delete your user contributions from public areas of our Services, copies of your user contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or might have been copied or stored by other users of our Services. Proper access and use of information provided by our Services, including user contributions, is governed by our Members Terms of Use.

Links to Other Websites, Applications, or Services

This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected directly by our Services. Our Services may contain links to other websites, applications, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites, applications, or services. We encourage you to be aware that, when you leave our Services for another website, application, or service, even if through a link, you should read the privacy statements of each of these websites, applications, and services that collect personally identifiable information. Our provision of external links to other websites, applications, or services in no way indicates that we endorse or approve the linked company, or its products, services or website.

Our Commitment to Data Security

We have put in place security procedures reasonably designed to safeguard and secure the information under our control, and we follow generally accepted industry standards. For example, when you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) on our Services’ forms, we encrypt, or instruct our providers to encrypt, that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

Although we will exercise reasonable care in providing secure transmission of information between your computer and our servers and in storing that information on our systems, no method of transmission over the Internet, or of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot ensure or guarantee the security of any information transmitted to us over the Internet.

Use of the Services by Users from Outside the United States

Our Services are hosted in the United States, are targeted towards United States residents, and are governed by United States law. If you are using the Services from outside of the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States where our servers are located and our databases are operated. The data protection and other laws of the United States and other countries might not be as comprehensive as those in your country. By using the Services, you consent to your information being transferred to our facilities and to the facilities of those third parties with whom we share it as described in this Privacy Policy.

Changes or Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. We will post any changes on the Privacy Policy page of each our Services, but we have no other obligation to notify you of these changes. We indicate the date of the current version of this Privacy Policy at the beginning of this Privacy Policy, so you know when it was last updated. Any changes will affect all of the information we have previously collected from you, as well as the information we collect after such changes, and may include without limitation additional uses or disclosures of your information. If you object to any of the changes, then stop using our Services and contact us as provided at the end of this Privacy Policy to remove your information that we previously collected. However, your continued use of our Services following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will mean you accept those changes.

Your California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits users of our Services that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and would like to request this information, please submit a written request to us as specified at the end of this Privacy Policy.

Your HIPAA Rights

To the extent our collection, maintenance, use, or transfer of any information qualifying as “Protected Health Information” under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, as amended (“HIPAA”), is required for the provision of our Services, we will comply with HIPAA in our collection, maintenance, user, and transfer of this information.
